Mixed Feelings

I can't even begin to explain how excited I am to see Javier.  I have been so busy packing, selling our furniture, trying to pay bills, working and trying to rent out the house all at the same time. I am getting tired all over again just thinking about it!! Oh not to mention all the Christmas plans, presents, and celebrations with the family before my trip. All these worries were starting to take away from my excitement for leaving. I started having my usual negative thinking and anxiety coming back.
I am not going to let anything get me down though.
Well I started this blog last week and just decided to finish it today but those negative feelings are coming back again. I just found out I may not be with Javier for New Years. There have been a couple problems and he is not able to meet me in TJ yet. I am really bummed. It has been 8 months now and I thought me and the dogs would be leaving tomorrow morning but it does not look like that is going to happen. It could be sometime between the 1st- 8th of January.  This is not a good way to start off the week. I just have to keep telling myself I have waited this long, another week will be nothing.

Just need to get this off my chest

PLEASE excuse this little..er well big rant. So I mailed my house payment check out the first week of December, by the 14th the money was still in my bank account. I freak out a little and called the loan company to see if they have my check at all. The company says no we do not have the check and you have to figure out how to pay the payment because it will be late if it is not paid by tomorrow. OK now I am really freaking out, that is all I need late charges. I call my bank and ask for a stop payment on the lost check. So the next morning for some reason I called the loan company and sure enough they had the damn check. I am ready to pull my hair out!!
I call my bank back and ask If they could cancel the stop payment so the check will clear, they say yea. Oh Thank God!! Meanwhile I am thinking my house payment is now going to be paid it will just take a little while for the check to post, right? Well turns out the loan company tried to post my check at the same time they were taking back the stop payment. Check DID NOT CLEAR. Last night the collectors already start calling me. Now I am just so pissed I'm ready to break down. I had to sit, say a little prayer, and tell my self there is nothing I can do now, I will just go to the bank and pay it in person tomorrow and pray that I will not get the 200 dollar late fee.
God answered my prayers. The late fee was waived and I was able to pay the regular house payment without any charges. Now just have to find more funds to pay the next house payment. Due Next week day before I leave for Mexico. I will just save my self the trouble this time and drop the check off in person.

Missing the "Good Ol Days"

This time last year Javier and I found out that we had just gotten our new home, we were moving all of our stuff and getting ready to spend Christmas together in the new casa. We painted the whole house, Javier put all new kitchen counters and back splash in my kitchen(+) Javier is very handy around the house, put in new carpet and had enough furniture for us two and Javier's little boy. It was a great way to start the new year together.

Javier's sister Adrianna, nephew, and son.
In the meantime before we got our house we were in some pretty tight space, in a room we were renting from his sister. These photos are actually from when Javier and I were living in the little room attached to his sister"s house. We were there for two years trying to save money to get something bigger for us and Javier's little one. The bathroom was so small I could not open my arms completely, definitely room for only one person at a time and by the end of the two years we had absolutely no more room for anything.

Now one year later I am moving all our stuff back to his sister's house. We are trying to sell everything at all the yard sales we have been having every weekend. It has been tough to see everything we have worked for be taken / given away in such a short period of time. Now, looking back at how so much has changed just in one year makes me think of how happy we were in that little room just us three watching movies, all cuddled in one big king size bed and spending the holidays and everyday for that matter, together. This Christmas we will not be together, but I am hoping everything works out this month and we will be spending New Years together with his family. I believe everything happens for a reason, I have faith, my family and Javier's and know that we will be OK no matter what. I just needed to reminisce a little and think of all the fun and adventure we will be having in the New Year!!!

1 dolla, 1 dolla, 1 dolla

View ImageMan it is a lot of work to have a garage/yard sale! Gathering all the stuff, getting up early to set up, dealing with all the people that don't want to pay more than 50 cents for anything, and having to put everything back that did not sell. I had one sale last weekend and I am planning on doing it again this Saturday. I am trying to save up money for our move to Mexico but since I have still not been able to rent out the house is not looking to good. We are planning on living with Javier's parents for awhile so he figured we should just sell as much as we could and use the money to start a business or save to find a place down there. Thank god I have my Cunada with me to help out with all the chaos. At least I am getting a lot of practice in for my Spanish speaking skills trying to sell all my stuff!
Over the years of being with Javier and growing up with Spanish speaking grandparents I have picked up a few things here and there and can definitely understand it much better than I can speak it, but I always thought it was funny that people just assume I speak the language. Of course I would have loved to learn when I was little but I guess it will come to me eventually. Well it better because now I have no Choice!!!!!!
